Biography

In early 1987, guitarist Didier Bauer formed DOWNRIGHT MALICE.
In December 1992, after the setting out of the second guitarist, they record their first demo 6 titles "Errare Humanum Est". These 6 songs receive good reviews in few French fanzines, but the promotion is not important (150 samples / sold out)

They go to the Hérisson studio (Pfastatt - France) during February 1994 to record their second demo 5 titles "Criminally Insane". The good distribution (650 samples / sold out) brings diffusions in some radio shows, good reviews and some interviews in worldwide fanzines.
During 1995, they decide to produce their first CD "In Doctrine... Nation" and go to the Hérisson studio (Mulhouse - France) to record the 8 powerful and melodic songs that are included in this project. The product comes out in December 1995 and is distributed by some French, German, Brazilian and Swiss record shops and distributors. This CD is good reviewed in about 100 fanzines, 50 radio shows and 20 worldwide magazines (HARD'N'HEAVY, METALLIAN, HARD ROCK (France) & METAL HAMMER (Greece)…). They also play at concert with THE ALMIGHTY, SACRED REICH, SKREW, SQUEALER, TRUST, NO RETURN, HOAX, ART SONIC, MERCYLESS, OUT… and participate at some festivals.

The 5 titles MCD "Spit Your Hate Out" comes out in April 2001. More hardcore but always metal, this CD is self produced (recorded, mixed, etc…) by DOWNRIGHT MALICE and obtains, the same month, 2 good reviews in NARD'H'HEAVY and HARD ROCK mag. (France).
Since the beginning of 2003, a new singer joins the band with his dark voice, bringing a new gothic atmosphere in DOWNRIGHT MALICE. The same year, the drummer leaves the band, but the four members are programming samples and drum-machine to stay ready for some gigs.
The 3rd CD "Perpetual Return" comes out in 2005. Those 10 songs which are included in this CD are more arranged with samples, but also more powerful and melodic than before.

Having reached a good display at gigs, DOWNRIGHT MALICE is always looking to make more concerts, just to show the best they can on a stage.
